Travel Log #7.2: Hong Kong

August 7, 2012

The next day

Toppet and I decided to skip Ocean Park. As much as we’d like to see the fishes, dolphins and sea lions, we decided we want to explore the streets and visit the stores we had in mind. So while our friends spent the day at Ocean Park, we had our own schedule for the day. It was an impromptu plan but we managed to squeeze in the places we want to see in our itinerary. There was a lot of walking, but it was worth it. I’d say a pair of Sanuk wont hurt. 😆

From Tsim Sha Tsui, we proceeded to the nearest Wellcome grocery store to buy pasalubongs. Wellcome is a supermarket similar to SM and Rustan’s but smaller. I did a little research and found one in Hankow Road.

Hong Kong goodies and snacks! I bought Hello Kitty noodles and spicy one for my brother, as requested.  😎

After a little bit of shopping at Wellcome, we went back to our place to drop off the goodies. And now to explore Canton road, a major road in Hong Kong known for its upscale retail shops. I just wanted to see H&M haha.  😆

Next, to Causeway. I forgot how we were able to get on the double decker tram going to Causeway. With signs, map, people to ask around  and a little bit of spontaneity you’ll never be lost.  🙂

[mark]Last day[/mark] (June 19, 2012)

Spent the last day with everyone in Canton Road, Harbour City and Ladies Market for our last minute shopping. I contemplated on buying the stuff I was ogling the day before and I finally gave in. Last day really helps. YOLO! You Only Live Once. So therefore buy it! 😆 😈 hahahaha
